Dees Bees Apiary; raw unfiltered honey, local, honey comb

An array of premium quality raw, local honey on display at one of the many Moore County, NC outlets.

Local Honey Production

Premium Raw honey produced in the Sandhills of North Carolina is the top priority at Dees Bees Apiary.

Our apiaries are functional honey producing bee yards.

We work hard every day of the week, work long hours and are very proud of the premium honey we bring to market.

Our apiaries currently consist of about sixty five hives in and around southern Moore County.

Additionally, we focus on acquiring and maintaining honeybee habitat.  From selecting a nectar rich and bio-diverse environment for the bees, to providing  adequate sustinence and other resources for brood rearing and colony survival.  We consider a variety of sustainability factors before placing our colonies and establishing an apiary.

We are not strangers to the daily grind, missed meals, hot summers, sweat stinging our eyes in our efforts to manage and maintain healthy hives.

Beekeeping has become a way of life and hardly a day passes that we dont do something bee related.

Our honey is primarily composed of Tulip Poplar with some wildflower, American Holly and Wisteria notes. Some years we also have a light flow of Sourwood in early June, but thats very hit and miss.  Some years we get the prized purple honey. Of course each years blooming season brings a noted variety and difference, in a good way, in the flavors and colors of honey produced.

Due to its popularity, quality and flavor, Dees Bees honey is in high demand and we usually sell out.
